Yes! La tradición is related to the local environment. Since so many business close down on Sundays, people naturally spend more time at home, catching up with family, cleaning, and preparing for the upcoming week of trabajo o escuela. Though family dinners are common in Spain, the Sunday lunch is more formal, and children who no longer live at home will often make an effort to see their family for this special meal.

Spanish pisto is an easily adaptable recipe. You can make a delicious pisto with nearly any vegetable laying around the house! Pisto would be particularly lovely in the late summer months, when people can pick vegetables from their gardens. Do you have un huerto (a garden) at your home?
