It has amazing shoreline, waterfalls, trails, and has a quiet, more rural vibe but still with a little bit of city. A nice combination! The people on Bohol were quite friendly, I made a couple of good friends, and I am so excited to come back and explore the rest of Bohol one day in the future. Hopefully, next time I will make it to Caminguin Island as well!

Being in the Philippines reminded me of the importance of downloading maps ahead of time. Besides Google Maps, there is an app called Map.Me that is a very accurate open-sourced map that can navigate offline really well. "Open source" means that the program grants peers permission to use, redistribute, and modify its source code for free. That means this open sourced map allows locals to add to it details that Google or other companies basically didn't have time for such as specific ferry routes or hiking trails, so I found this super-useful to use while traveling in the archiapelogo nation known as the Philippines!
