The most affordable are Thai dishes while the more expensive tend to be “foreign” dishes such as burgers and fries or Japanese sushi. It really depends on what you buy! I like to use a currency exchange app to help me understand the currency differences and to budget more effectively
The cost to refill a 8-ounce water bottle can be as little as 1 baht from a water filtration machine. Buying a bottle of water from the store will cost anywhere between 10 to 60 baht depending on brand and size. My friends and I prefer to refill our bottles because it is less wasteful and more affordable in the long run. Unlike in America, it is unsafe to drink tap water in Thailand because it is not filtered.
Thai fried rice! I love Thai fried rice. I eat it all the time, at least once a week, and it is quite delicious and popular with everyone who comes to Thailand. Even if you can find fried rice in America, I really like this dish when I am looking for something mild rather than spicy to eat. It is full of flavor despite how simple it may look. I also like the Thai pineapple fried rice.
The most fun I had this week was walking at Jomtien Beach. I came here for two nights in a row. Walking into the warm, clear water less than knee deep and looking up at the stars or watching the water flow and crash was a lot of fun for me. You could walk this beach for miles, it was well lit, and there were several other people enjoying themselves here as well.
