This week I traveled to the island of Mallorca, Spain for a weekend trip with friends. It was beautiful! During the week, I also traveled to Navarrete and hiked the Camino to Najera. Most recently, I took a trip to the local town of Laguardia to admire the vineyards and enjoy the historical city. All together, I traveled about 844 miles!
So far on my journey, I have travelled to Madrid, Alcala de Henares, Logroño, San Sebastián, Bilbao, Mallorca, Navarette, Nájera and Laguardia! All together, I have travelled a total of about 4,745 miles!
Every day I get around the city by walking. I walk to get to work, to run errands and to explore the city! During my travels this week, I also got around by bus, plane and car.
The most interesting place I visited this week was Bilbao. On my way to Mallorca, I flew out Bilbao, which is a city in the north of Spain. What is interesting about Bilbao is that everyone speaks a language called Euskera. Euskera is a unique language that is very different from Spanish, and its origins are unknown. It was fascinating to see signs written in the unique and intriguing language!
