What food did I try?:

I tried tortilla española (Spanish tortilla). This popular dish is one of the most versatile in Spain! It is made with egg, potatoes and often onions. It is eaten at all times of the day, as a morning or afternoon snack, alongside lunch or dinner or shared as a tapa (small plate of food or appetizer) in the evening. It may be eaten freshly hot, at room temperature or chilled. This dish goes by many names, and may also be referred to as a Spanish omelet or tortilla de patatas (potato omelet). It can be found at cafes, restaurants, bars (as a tapa),or pre-made in the grocery store, but is often homemade, using family recipes.
