This week I listened to jazz music by Natty Reeves. Even though jazz originated in America, it is pretty popular in Berlin, too.
This week was my coworker's birthday. I had a lot of fun baking her a cake and celebrating at work!
This week I am working on reading "The Clockmaker's Daughter" by Kate Morton. It is a really long book, but luckily I have a lot of time to read on my bus ride to work.
This week I played a German game called Dixit with some of the people I work with. It is a card game where we take turns making up stories about the pictures on the cards. Maybe you can make up your own version with your friends!
When working in the lab this week, I found out that I will get to use a new type of microscope (a machine that lets you look at really tiny things). I will use the microscope to look at the cells I study. Cells are the tiny pieces that make up every plant and animal. They are so tiny that you can't see them, but they make up your skin, blood and muscles! A super cool thing about this microscope is that it will also make the cells glow in the dark!
