The Hanami Festival

Now, I looked up at a flower blossom sky once again, but what was just one tree was now a forest, and its branches were so high, and I was so far away. All around me were merry voices speaking in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cambodian, and Spanish. The wind carried warmth, and I felt so grateful to be here. The little white and pink cottonballs swayed about. Their beauty made me joyful and grateful, but also sad. I realized that the Sakura festivals were more than just a celebration, but a time to reflect on the past year, to celebrate the happy things and sad things, and enjoy the temporary moments, and yet, not to be too sad when they're gone because they will return again.
