I hope this will maximize my learning and help me to fully immerse myself in the academic setting and local community. Australia also has a strong medical field, and I might consider returning for further studies because my dream job is to become a doctor!
Enough about academics though, let's talk about my hobbies and what I like to do during my free time. One thing I like to do is read books! When I was younger, my favorite series were "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "Captain Underpants," which always put a smile on my face each chapter. Unfortunately, my taste in books now might be boring for you, as I often read neuroscience literature or self-improvement books. Still, I promise they are interesting and fun to read! That might just be my opinion, though.
In addition to books, I love playing video games like Fortnite and Minecraft. I usually play at night before bedtime, after a long day with some friends, but I know it's important to always remember, too many video games are bad! I've learned you need to make sure to go out and do exercise, as this is not only good for your health, but it can also boost your brain performance. This is helpful for school, but if you think about it, it's also helpful for making you a better video game player, so keep that in mind!
I have enjoyed my time here in Australia so far. I've explored the University of Melbourne, where I will study for the next four months, and I've been discovering the city, taking in various attractions and public street art. At the university, I will be taking a bunch of psychology courses that will teach how people think, feel and behave, and I will also be conducting research at a laboratory called the Florey!
