My name is India and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am 24 years old, and my family consists of my mom, dad, two younger bothers, two dogs and cat. My family is going to visit Argentina so they can also learn about what my life is like there, just as we will be doing over the next few months. I like to read, hike, ski, cook, watch movies and TV, spend time with my friends, and travel. I also play soccer (or fútbol) and like watching it, too.
I want to share a little bit more about my journey with learning and speaking Spanish. I took one or two Spanish classes in elementary and middle school and liked them enough to keep taking Spanish classes in high school. In high school, the classes started to be a little harder, and I decided I didn't like them as much. It was scary to speak in front of the class, and I didn't feel like I was very good at Spanish. Learning conjugations and grammar and vocabulary was hard. Plus, no one likes to do things they don't think they are good at.
Luckily for me, I had the opportunity to travel to Spain for two weeks one summer! I still didn't really want to speak Spanish, but I wanted to travel so I could see beautiful things, meet new people and eat delicious food.
