I didn't leave Bălți this week, but on Friday, I will be heading to the capital, Chisinau, for a friend's birthday party as well as a mid-year Fulbright meeting.
I have traveled to 12 countries since my time in Moldova began. I went to Italy twice, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey.
I wasn't going anywhere far, so I mainly walked. I did take a cab with my friends over the weekend because we were coming home from karaoke late at night.
I went to the city theatre on Holocaust Remembrance Day to see a production of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.
