Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

The farthest I traveled this week was to Seongsu, which is an hour away from where I’m staying by metro. I went there to go shopping since they have many pop-up stores and to visit the cute cafes. I also went there for a class at 1Million Dance Studio. We learned choreography for “Butter” by BTS. Because they just made their comeback, everyone is incorporating them and their songs into the media. Since the song is very energetic it was very fun but definitely exhausting.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

I’ve only been in South Korea for about a month and a half, so I haven’t travelled too far yet. I have stayed mostly in Seoul as school hasn’t been easy enough for me to go out exploring too much. However I plan to go to Nami Island and Busan soon so hopefully I can share some of those things with you in the future!

How did I get around this week?:

I always use public transportation as it is easy to understand, fast, and affordable. The buses and metro take you literally anywhere you want to go. I use NAVER Maps, which is South Korea’s version of Google Maps, to navigate the city. The app shows all the options to get to your destination, how long it will take, bus and metro routes, how long before the next bus arrives, and even how full it is.
