Whether our hypotheses were supported or not, it's amazing to be able to experience a new cultures, people, and places, and there's so much to learn from and reflect on when you leave.
Last but not least, after we finish our trip, we like to share our results! I love talking to my friends, family, students, and coworkers about my trips and sharing what my experience was like. I really like to post photos on Instagram to stay in touch with my friends and family at home and give them updates about my adventures abroad. We also leave reviews online to share our experiences with other people and help them do research as they plan, too.
This whole process is really exciting and collaborative because we all work together to plan our trips, just like how scientists work together on their research. I learn something new every time I travel, and then I get to use that knowledge when I go on trips in the future. Even if I have a bad experience or something doesn't go the way I plan, it always leads me to the next adventure. In that way, travel is a lot like science - there's always something new to explore!
