What I've learned so far— my farewell journal!

Sometimes, it’s realizing that the impact you’re making can’t be measured in numbers, but in smiles, trust, and the stories you carry with you.

I’ve learned to slow down, to sit on a bench and watch the sky change color with the light, and to say “buenos días” to every single person you pass. I've learned to value small moments: a quiet conversation with my host mom, a game of soccer with my students, a cup of tea at the end of a long day.

Maybe the biggest thing I’ve learned is this: the world is full of people who are kind, generous, funny, and full of love, whether they speak your language or not, and when you open your heart, you find pieces of home in the most unexpected places.

Thank you for following along on my journey. I hope it’s sparked your curiosity about the world and reminded you that even the most ordinary days can be full of magic - if you’re paying attention.

I’m not done learning. I don’t think we ever are. For now, I’m heading into the next chapter with a grateful heart and a suitcase full of stories.

With love from Peru,
Grace
