For problems like those, I am usually able to call my parents and get help from them, but for problems that are more long-term I'm usually on my own. I've definitely grown a lot since I got here, and have become more independent. Throughout my time telling you all about Paris, I'll probably become more accustomed to the culture. Maybe by December, I'll be like a local!
In Paris, I live on the Champs-Elysees, a major shopping street with stores like Zara and Sephora, as well as many French businesses. This area has many English-speaking people, which is good for me because I don't speak French. I'm trying to learn, but for now I can only speak English. My apartment's window has a view of the Eiffel Tower, and I walk across the Seine (a major river in Paris) every day to get to school. I've made friends here in France that go exploring with me, and I'm excited to tell you all about the places we've found and the food we've eaten. My interactions with locals have also taught me a lot about France, and I'll be telling you all about that as well. I look forward to your questions, and to filling out the logbook and albums over the next few months!
