Farewell and Thank You, Korea

The people that I met always tried their best to help me out and were excited to share their culture with me. When I tried to use simple Korean phrases, it made them feel appreciated since they know that their language is not easy to learn. By studying Korean, I was able to better empathize with how hard it can be for second language learners to learn English in America. I gained a new kind of appreciation for those who try to communicate in languages other than their native one. I'm grateful for all the experiences and people that I have met while putting myself out there to practice speaking Korean.

To wrap up this epic journey, I hope that you all will have a chance to follow your passions and find yourselves experiencing a new country in the world someday. Whether you decide to travel for vacation, to study abroad or teaching abroad, it will be an eye-opening experience where you'll grow as a person and view life from another perspective. Be adventurous and courageous! Get to know people in the community and try out foods that you've never tried before. Your youth is the best time to travel. Once again, thank you so much for following my stories in Korea. Can't wait to see where you'll end up next. Happy travels and dare to be great!
