Meeting My Citibank Local Host

Many of his Korean colleagues like to play golf for business and leisure. Amit enjoys golf as a great sport to relax and build connections with people in his network.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

Amit speaks English and Hindi. He is also learning how to read Korean. To say hello in Hindi, one can say namaste.

Do you have pets?:

Not yet, since Amit has just transitioned to Korea. Maybe, in the near future, he might adopt a cat or a dog!

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

So far, Amit has not traveled outside of Seoul, but he is planning to travel down to Jeolla-do province, Busan and Jeju Island soon. When he was preparing to move from India to Korea, he looked all over Seoul to pick a good neighborhood to live in. One of his favorite places in Seoul is the Cheonggyecheon stream (see photo).

What do you do for work?:

Amit has a very important job at Citi's offices in Seoul, South Korea. He shared that he works to create solutions to issues that arise with consumers and directs how Citi's products are marketed by salespeople who work for Citi. He also enjoys giving back to the community by participating in his company's events to clean up the parks and by being my Citi Local Host!

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

"The best advice I can give you is to do what makes you happy and work hard for your dreams. Be sure to check in with your peers to see how they are doing, but don't get too caught up in the things they are doing.
