I stood for a while on the dockside, looking up at the magnificent ship that had been my home for more than a month and watching our merry band of explorers begin to go their separate ways.
So, it’s goodbye to the S.A. Agulhas II for now, even though the ship may be the easiest “member” of the expedition team to keep track of in the days and months ahead. I am so grateful to have been able to welcome you all aboard the ship throughout our journey. Parting can be bittersweet, but to really capture the spirit of this expedition, I encourage you to harness the curiosity and enthusiasm of the Endurance22 participants you’ve met and look for the next adventure in your own life. What are you curious about? Keep exploring the world around you, and who knows… you may find yourself departing Cape Town harbor aboard the S.A. Agulhas II on your own adventure someday.
