Nature News

What was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week?:

At this rest stop, I got to meet a sweet bankhar dog mom and her two loyal little pups! The puppies were the first to approach my friend and me, greeting us with warm little jumps and leaning in for love and attention. Soon after, the mother dog came over, sniffed us carefully, and then decided she wanted attention too. All three of them were so playful and affectionate.

Every time we stepped out of the restaurant or convenience store, they would run right back up to us, showering us with what felt like hugs and a bunch of happy licks.

Other Nature News from this week:

Because of the heavy winter snow, most of the countryside is still blanketed in white. When you’re out on the steppe, it feels like endless snow stretching all the way to the horizon where it meets the sky. It’s breathtakingly beautiful!

At times, the sunlight reflecting off the snow can be incredibly strong, making it difficult to see whether you’re walking or driving. Because of that, we’ve had to wear sunglasses whenever we’re outside, especially when sledding or riding horses.
