Villages typically have an outdoor gathering space that can be used for festivals and events, but my village currently does not. As a runner, it has been difficult for me to find places in my village to exercise.
My village does have certain community groups, such as the library, museum and youth center, that offer activities mainly for children and young people so they can have places to spend their free time. The cultural center works with these organizations to plan larger events that are held outside of the cultural house. The cultural house itself is in need of repairs, as each of these organizations hope to expand their operations. The youth center shares a room with the local folk dance group and can only offer activities a certain number of days a week. There is not running water or an indoor bathroom. Each of the groups work together to plan and implement projects, and they hope to expand their services in the future.
