Video Conferencing

Journal Entry:

During your Journey Kick Off Call we will schedule at least three live video calls. You can choose your preferred platform, such as Zoom or Google Meet. On these calls we will actively encourage travelers to  integrate activities like Show and Tell or hosting a dance or cooking lesson. Depending on your traveler's location and wifi availability, they may even be able to call from a unique location such as their school, a local park, or a nearby farm

As you prepare for these calls, advise your students to generate questions and consider whether the answers can be obtained elsewhere. The most impactful questions center around the traveler's personal and unique experiences. Following the travelers 5-10 minute presentation, facilitate a discussion to reflect on what was learned, shared and whether any new questions arose. This structured approach ensures a dynamic and meaningful interaction during the video calls.
