Introduction to the Reach the World Traveler Program

3.How does where I live affect how I live?

Introduction to Journals

By reading these first-person, memoir-style narratives, students will learn what your traveler is thinking and feeling throughout their global adventure. Your traveler will invite students to imagine they are traveling, too!

Your traveler will write an autobiographical Journal at the beginning of their journey. Your traveler will also address topics such as language learning and adjusting to life in their host country.

Requesting Journal topics is a great way to customize your classroom’s journey. Use the drop down menu to navigate to additional Journal entries.

Introduction to Albums

In addition to written articles, travelers share special moments with their classrooms through photos and video albums. Each album showcases 10 or more photos captured by the traveler during their journey. All photos are accompanied by captions.

These albums serve as educational tools, imparting new information about the country and introducing fresh vocabulary.

To actively engage students in their journey, travelers pose questions such as,

"Do you know what kind of vegetable this is?"

"Can you identify the significance of this historical landmark?"

"What do you think is the main cultural influence in this region?"

"Have you ever encountered wildlife like the one pictured here?"
