Greetings from Barcelona, Spain! My name is Deztiny and I am 18 years old. I am from California, but go to school in New Hampshire at Dartmouth College. Right now, I live in the city of Barcelona, which is in the country of Spain. As you can see, I travel a lot!
Why Barcelona? I am living in Barcelona to learn how to better communicate in Spanish and to learn more about the culture in Spain. I want to know how the people here act, how they speak, what holidays and traditions they have and even what clothing they wear. Each one of us has a different culture, and if we take the time to learn about these different cultures, we can learn to appreciate each one and respect each other's differences.
I also moved to Barcelona because I love to meet new people. We all like making new friends, right? Imagine having a friend in every country in the world!
In addition to traveling, I also love to play with my two dogs, Oreo and Madden and spend time with my family. My family loves to have game nights (which I always win) and movie nights. It is hard saying goodbye to them most times, but the knowledge I gain and experiences I have when traveling always make the temporary separation worth it.
