Ourense is a city of bridges--I've spotted at least five of them arching over the river. This river, called the River Minho, passes through Lugo, as well.

Bottled water isn't a good idea--too much plastic! Also, it's more common to order una caña (small beer) or a café con leche/leite if you're looking for a drink in Spain. When you order water, you look super American.
I ate freshly-roasted chestnuts from a street vendor. Delicious, and served in a newspaper-cone container.
I listened to lots of gaita music.
I had the most fun trying to learn la jota, a typical dance along to the gaita (bagpipe) music which is a bit complex and reminds me of the American Square Dance.
