Hello, class!
My name is Cheyenne Stewart. I was born in Hungary, a country in Europe, but I now live in Terre Haute, Indiana. In Terre Haute, I attended Riley Elementary, then Honey Creek Middle School and graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School. During my school years, I enjoyed participating in spelling bees, Science Olympiad and math competitions like Mathcounts. I have known Ms. Fendrick's son for many years through our church, and I'm excited to connect with all of you and Ms. Fendrick over the next few weeks!
I study neuroscience and behavior at the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!) in South Bend, Indiana. Thankfully, it's not too far from Terre Haute, allowing me to visit home pretty easily. My classes focus on understanding our brains, how we process information and why we think the way we do! After completing a few more years of my education, I hope to become an eye doctor and help people improve their vision.
Currently, I am studying in Rome, Italy, through a special program at Notre Dame. This unique opportunity allows me to spend four months in this beautiful country. Growing up, I spoke Hungarian with my family and friends, and now I'm learning Italian to communicate with locals during my stay in Rome.
