Everything is bigger in Texas, but not in Thailand haha!
Most Thai people cook their food with a big circular pan called a Wok, which can withstand high heat. This makes a wok perfect for the amount of oils and grease Thai people use to make their food. Sometimes, when you order and you watch them cook, you can see big flames go up which is super cool. On the side of the stove, you can see the spices and chilis and garnishes used. There's usually peanuts, maybe soy sauce and then chili sauce! Thai food is definietly a bit spicy! Additionally, Thai people use both chopsticks and spoons/forks when they eat their food. This is helpful for me because I still have not learned how to properly use chopsticks!
Different regions of Thailand have different climates that grow different kinds of food. Northern Thailand has mountains and cool forests, so sticky rice is popular because it has good carbohydrates. That is also why Khao Soi is popular there because it is slow-cooked and warming food for the cold environment. Southern Thailand has tropical coastlines and pennuislas, and this weather and topography influences what the people eat in these places They enjoy anti inflammatory spices like chili and enjoy seafood due to the proximity to the ocean.
