Our News

I've conducted lots of tests on this collar, and I've been emailing back and forth with our scientific collaborators and the company who made the collar to try and get some help fixing it. Field scientists' equipment doesn't always work... it's part of our job to figure out how to fix problems that arise (with help, of course).

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I got a great lesson in ping pong from my Colombian friend, Luis Felipe, while we hung out in the lounge. Some of the guys here are really good at ping pong, while I could use the help to improve. My Costa Rican friend, Alvaro, showed me a card game that he would play with his seven siblings back home. It's kind of like slapjack, but it involves yelling "¡Hola, señorita!" ("Hello, miss!") when you put down a queen card and "¡Adiós, caballeros!" ("Goodbye, gentlemen!") when you put down a jack card. My tongue was tripping all over the high-speed Spanish, but I still managed to win my first game!

Other news from this week:

My birthday is coming up, so my friends and I are planning ways to celebrate. There's a kitchen in the lounge, so I am hoping to get some ingredients for cake so we can all bake one for my cumpleaños (birthday).
