Going to Itoshima was the most isolated spot I have been, though.
To get around, we had to use buses, which is something I rarely do in Japan because trains take you basically everywhere. In this case though, the shrine, Torii and the beach were so far away and isolated we had to take buses.
The most interesting part of Itoshima was visiting the Sakurai Shrine and the Futamigaura Torii. The Sakurai and Futamigaura are dedicated to the ToriiIzanagi and Izanami, which are Gods of creation. The stones behind represent a marriage. You can swim to the rocks and the Torii gate in front of them make for some cool pictures!
The very next day, we spent the entire time at a mall. They had a live performance of maid girls, which are girls that dress up as maids, and I went to my first ever arcade in Japan. I won a Luxray plushie from pokemon, but I also lost a lot of money trying to win!
