As I was sick, I decided to teach myself where all the countries were on a blank map! I can now find all 197 countries and I plan on learning all of the flags that are associated with them. I discovered I have a deep passion for geography, and how fascinating it is when you can envision where every country is located.
This week I read Firmin by Sam Savage, which is about a rat living in the metropolitan city of Boston who develops a love for reading. The book delves deeply into human emotions and reflections of loneliness as a rat who has much intelligence, but is different from his peers.
This week I did reformer pilates for the first time! It was a very interesting experience as I have always been an avid fan of yoga and mat pilates, but never used a machine to do that before! The instructor was very kind, and if he noticed I had trouble understanding his French, he kept repeating it and using hand motions until I could understand. The workout was very tough, but I definitely pushed myself to limits I had never reached before. I was so proud of myself when I finished the class!
There is a grocery store near where I live that I shop at often called Naturalia. I have gone so much that I have recently acquired a fidelité (fidelity) card! A fidelity card is like a rewards card in the United States. It will now allow me to get discounts, points, and special offers every time I shop! I'm very excited to use it the next time I go grocery shopping.
