An Inside Look at Daily Life for One of My Students

These include Basic English, where he learns English with three teachers, and Autonomous Learning, where he learns about self-regulation and strategies to foster independent learning. He also takes two math classes, Taller Mathematics (Mathematics Workshop) and Fundamental Mathematics, which are divided into theory and practical applications work. Next is Education Informatics, where he learns things like APA formatting (academic writing guidelines) and how to find and use credible sources for research. Last is his favorite class, Oral and Written Expression, because he loves Spanish and languages.

What is your homework like?:

Christian's homework varies. For his English class, it's mostly worksheets and smaller completion tasks, while his other classes require more time and effort preparing and practicing presentations. 

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

Christian likes to just go home and hang out after school. He doesn't play as much as he used to because of university, but he enjoys playing videogames on the weekends. He likes to play games on his PC and sometimes on his PlayStation.

Who is your favorite famous person?:

Christian says he doesn't really care much about the personal lives and details of the artists, and that he really just focuses on their works. If he has to choose a favorite, he says he loves Ichiko Aoba, a Japanese folk singer. He translates the lyrics to be able to understand the songs.
