Milking a Cow and Eating Chile Peppers in the Cloud Forest

I love farms and food. I could not pass up the opportunity to explore this sustainable farm while on a field trip with my class to the cloud forest!

I was surprised by how hard it is to milk a cow- I'd like to get better at it!
In responsible farms like this one, they constantly change the pasture where the cows can graze so that one spot doesn't get too tired
There were plenty of books to read, tea to drink, and even fresh hot chocolate made from the cows' milk
Would you ever eat a chile pepper?
After eating spicy peppers, it was so refreshing to pull oranges down from the trees to eat
This farm does a great job to clean all the gunk out of their water before letting it run down the mountain, so it doesn't make people sick at the bottom of the mountain
Instead of throwing food away, they give it to the pigs!
I loved visiting this beautiful place- learning about sustainable farming is my passion!
