I got to try lots of sweets and traditional baked goods. I also got to feed some horses and learn new words in Czech. It felt so special to be taken in as a part of the community and to celebrate the beautiful cultural traditions!
I read "Where the Mountain Meets the Moon," which is such a beautiful fairytale based on Chinese folktales and follows a girl on a fantastical journey. I am currently reading Malala Yousafzai's new book "Finding My Way," and so far it is really good!
I played floorball with my little cousin. Floorball is played like soccer, but instead of using your feet, you use sticks with a plastic net on the bottom and try to get the ball in the goal. I also played chess, but a simplified version, where all of the pieces can only move one space in any direction. Because it is simpler, it is even more irritating to lose!
I learned how to cook Mazanec, which is a sweet bread made in preparation for Easter weekend. It makes the whole house smell really good, and many people eat it in the morning with coffee!
