Time to Say Goodbye

The amazing thing is, those differences only make life more interesting and enjoyable.

Whether you study abroad in college or not, that time in your life is really not that far away. I remember visiting a college campus when I was in third grade. Everyone was twice as tall as me, and it seemed like being a college student myself was very far away.  But I see now how my choices then opened up doors for me in the future. When I was in third grade, I was in a really low-level reading class because I was still learning English. So, I read many books during this time. A lot of Junie B. Jones, A Series of Unfortunate Events (don't recommend) and the Ramona series. By working hard to read those books, I improved my English, and when I took the CSAP (the state test in Colorado), I did really well. From that point on, I was mostly placed in honors classes, and the hard work there led me to be better prepared for college. I know you're in a gifted class and you work very hard. Working hard early on is like dominoes falling. Keep it up, and you’ll have a chain reaction that leads to great things in your future!

Thank you for coming along with me on my journey and allowing me to share my experiences. Through my blogs, I have created a digital memory of my trip, which is very special to me. In our video conferences, you were so curious and asked me questions that I sometimes couldn't have expected! Continue working hard in everything that you do and being curious about the world. I wish you all a shubhayathra (happy journey)!
