Since I am a city girl, I really wanted to study in a big city, and London was perfect for me.
One of my favorite things was simply walking around the city. Many people visit London as tourists, but I got to live here as a student. That made it feel extra special.
Another amazing thing about being in the United Kingdom is that traveling is easier and cheaper. During my time here, I got to visit many places like Scotland, Austria, Paris, Switzerland, Prague and Portugal. Soon, I will visit Morocco, too!
In the United States, traveling between cities can be very expensive. In Europe, traveling between countries can cost less. That helped me explore many new places and learn about different cultures.
Another really cool thing about London is how people travel inside the city. Most people do not use cars. Instead, they use buses, underground trains, called the Tube, and even bicycles.
This makes it easy to go from one place to another.
I really enjoyed using the trains and buses. It felt like a fun adventure every time! Trains can be very crowded, so if you ever visit, make sure to stay close to your parents and hold their hand so you do not get lost.
As a Pakistani and Muslim girl, something that made me very happy was finding lots of halal food in London. Halal food is food that I am allowed to eat. There were so many choices from different cultures, and I really enjoyed trying new meals.
