By Train, Bus, Bike, or Boat?

I could also take the bus, but it is slightly more expensive, and it takes much too long to get to work. That is how I was late on my first day.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

The German train system is kept running smoothly because so many people use it every day. I think this is typical of much of Europe, where roads and railways between major cities have existed for a long time. In addition, I think it is easier for Germans to have a good rail system because their country is smaller than the Unite States. German cities are closer together, so it costs less money to build a rail line between them.
