Unrest in Bolivia and Deciding to Leave

From Iquique, we would be able to zig-zag our way into Argentina by land, without having to go through Peru. This meant, of course, that we were in for a long (and eventful) two days of waiting. During those two days, Josh and I only left the hostel only once. When we did, we found ourselves swept up in marches, avoiding tear gas and dynamite, trying to navigate a bewildering maze of roadblocks. Luckily, we were unharmed and eventually able to make our way back to the hostel. Then we stayed put until it was time for us to take a taxi to the airport.

Sometime around 3:00 P.M. on Friday, November 15, 2019, Josh and I landed in Iquique, Chile. From there, it would take us another five days, four buses, two private cars and one more taxi to make it safely to Salta, Argentina where we're currently regrouping and deciding what to do next.
