In my classes at the Univesity in Lyon, we read several poems by poets from the 1500s who wrote about Lyon and its geography.
This week, I was able to join a gym near my host family's house, and it is very similar to the gym that I attend at home. However, the French use a different system to measure length, so instead of the mile, they use a unit called the kilometer. This was very confusing for me at first when I ran on the gym's machines because the distance was in kilometers whereas, in America, they are in miles!
I had my first classes this week with my French professors. At the University of Lyon, we have a lounge where students can go in between classes and get free coffee and tea at all times!
