Andorra, the Country of the Pyrenees

Introduction:

Andorra is referred to as "The Country of the Pyrenees" because it is tucked away in the Pyrenees Mountains range. Some people think the mountains are suffocating, since they are so large and everywhere you look. I think the mountains are like a large hug, keeping the people who live here safe. No matter what you think of the mountains, though, it is undeniable that Andorra is a country that is very proud of its natural environment.

What makes this environment special or different?:

Obviously, the mountains make this place special! I am still in awe of how close and grand the mountains are in Andorra. The mountains are special not just because of their grandeur but also because of how they bring people together. Among many other activities, people go hiking, skiing, picnicking and biking in the mountains together, making the mountains Andorra's natural playground!

What parts of this environment help people to live here?:

The natural water sources, including rivers, ensure Andorrans always have access to safe drinking water. Plus, one major reason people move to Andorra is so they can ski, so the mountains and snow help those people fulfill their skiing dreams!
