Andorra, the Country of the Pyrenees

What challenges do people face living in this environment?:

Snow and ice can be challenging for people living in Andorra, especially for those who drive cars. Because some parts of the mountains can be steep, ice makes commuting even harder. In addition, it is quite hilly and mountainous all throughout Andorra, so it can be hard for some folks to get around, especially older people and people with disabilities.

How have people been adapting to this environment?:

Thankfully, Andorrans have been toughing it out in the cold and snow for a long time, so they have learned how to adapt to the environment well. One way drivers adapt is by getting snowtires put on their car every winter, which means that they use a set of tires that helps them drive better in the snow. People also wear many warm clothes when going outside, including hats, scarves, mittens and winter coats. Lastly, almost every building has central heat warming up homes once the weather becomes very cold.
