I received what looked like a big upside-down bowl of noodles, chicken and vegetables covered with a scrambled egg. The pad thai was delicious and I especially liked the noodles!

What music did I listen to this week?:

On the airplane and at the airport, they played music that is popular in the United States. They played songs by artists like Charlie Puth, Sam Smith and Maroon 5.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

This might surprise you, but the most fun I had this week was at the airport! I know it seems very strange because normally I (and most people) don't really like the airport. It tends to be crowded, loud and a bit dirty, but this week I flew out of Changi Airport in Singapore, which is widely considered to be the best airport in the world!

I wondered what made this airport the "best" and I was not disappointed! The airport security line was very short and automated. I was finished in less than 10 minutes! Further inside there were a variety of luxury shops and stores, including my personal favorite: a big candy store that sold all kinds of chocolate. I found out that the airport had a swimming pool, three gardens, two movie theaters and many places to eat and relax. The airport was also very quiet and peaceful, which I thought was both strange and wonderful.

What did I read this week?:

I read through a travel magazine on the plane that listed many fun and exciting places to visit in Southeast Asia. This got me excited for my next journey! I also did some reading for school (I had two midterm exams last week) on the history of the Middle East and a reading for my philosophy class.
