I definitely saw the most beautiful sunset of my entire life this week, which caused me to just sat for several minutes in silent awe. Here in Ao Nang there are huge limestone cliffs covered in greenery and trees. Off in the distance, as the sun sets over these cliffs, a warm reddish light fills the small valley and showered cliffs on the other side with a bright orange color. Amazing!
Ao Nang is a beautiful place. It reminds me of two seemingly different (but actually very similar!) kinds of climates. The many palm trees and coconuts hanging from trees make Ao Nang feel very tropical; however, there are many patches of thick forests that feel more like the jungle! And yet the two seem to come together here into one shared place. Definitely unlike anything I've seen before!
