After visiting the fort, we started to walk back to the little town where the ferry comes in. The community has relatively little connection to the rest of the world other than the tourists that visit, and it is important to be respectful to their home. We made sure to never be too loud, or leave any trash behind. My sister actually collected trash and put it into a bag to throw away when we found a trash bin. We are blessed to be able to visit such beautiful places and we like to try to leave them a little more beautiful on our exit. Tourists can be hard on a natural environment, leaving trash, creating loud noise, being rude to locals, or bothering the local animals, but my sister and I made sure to see the perspective of the local people and respect their beautiful community.
