This past week, there was a film festival in Bogotá with lots of interesting international films. I loved watching movies from Cuba, Brazil and the Amazons of Colombia to name a few.
This week I finished a graphic novel (adults read graphic novels, too!) on Gabo, or Gabriel Garcia Marquez, who is one of, if not the most, famous authors of Colombia and South America. I learned all about his life.
I joined a frisbee team this past weekend, and started to play ultimate frisbee with other Colombians my age. I played a bit when I was in college, but these cats are really good, and they don't joke around! I'm going to have to step up my game if I'm going to be able to play with them.
This week, I visited Plaza Simon Bolivar, Bogotá's main plaza. Around there are a number of important government buildings. We even got to see the Army march in the main government square! Afterwards, we took a picture of all of us nearby.
