Oishii Food!

There is so much flavor in every sip. My first time was actually back in the U.S., in Los Angeles, at a Japanese restaurant. Japan’s ramen flavor is for the most part similar to the ones I have had in America, but there is something about eating ramen in Japan that feels special. I had also tried sushi back in California. Like my experience with Ramen, sushi seems very similar in the U.S. and in Japan, but there is something about eating sushi in Japan that feels more authentic.

How is the food prepared?:

Ramen are softened noodles in a flavorful broth made out of pork, soy sauce, salt or vegetables. The noodles are egg noodles normally, and the bowl of ramen is normally topped with a boiled egg, some vegetables and pieces of meat, most commonly roasted pork).

At the most basic, sushi is composed of pieces of raw fish on top of pieces of clumped rice. However, there are other variations of sushi, including fried fish or meat, omelet-like pieces of egg, vegetables and even sweets on top of rice. The kind of sushi we are familiar with in the U.S. usuually consists of rice prepared with vinegar and wrapped in seaweed with seafood and sometimes vegetables. California rolls, which are found on most sushi menus in the U.S., are filled with crab meat, cucumber and avocado. Sometimes the suchi is topped with things like fish roe, another word for eggs, and special sauces.

Making sushi is not extremely difficult, but some chefs train extensively to be the best at preparing it.
