Rangoli Art

I know that we all enjoyed trying it, and I am sure you would too.

More importantly though, the rangoli patterns are meant to symbolize prosperity and good luck. By making the patterns outside of temples and homes, rangoli serves as a great way to welcome guests inside and adds a lot to the beautiful culture of India.

If you ever get a chance, I hope you will try making some rangoli art of your own!

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

I looked into whether rangoli is somehow connected to the environment. Apart from how nice rangoli makes neighborhoods in India look, I found out that some social activists have created rangoli designs that advocate for preserving trees and the natural environment.

This is not usually part of the rangoli art tradition, but it goes to show that sometimes people build on old traditions to create new ones!
