Micaela Semanate

Introduction:

Micaela Semanate is my host sister, and she is 14 years old. She is a typical girl here in La Maná; she acts like a lot of the girls her age. Although she is a bit older than you, her interests and chores may be a lot like yours!

Let’s see how different and similar Micaela is to each of you.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, I have drinkable oatmeal and a sandwich. Sometimes I have yogurt with cereal or sometimes even fruit. I don’t really get to choose; it’s mostly what my mother cam afford for that week. For lunch, I eat a lot of things that vary,  from soup to rice with a kind of meat. And last, depending on money and what we have eaten for lunch, dinner can vary from a sandwich to soup to rice with scrambled eggs.

What is your house like?:

My house is very big. But we aren’t rich, so we don’t have the nicest things. We have about five rooms and three bathrooms. We don’t always have water or electricity. Sometimes we even don’t have WiFi because we forget to pay on time. It may not be the best house, but my family brings my house to life.

What chores do you have at home?:

I have to do a lot of chores. I’m in charge of cooking dinner almost every night. I also have to sweep after dinner. Most of the time, I’m in charge of washing the dishes.
