The main language spoken in Portugal is Portuguese. I studied Portuguese at my University, and I take classes twice a week here to improve my grammar. Many Portuguese people also speak a bit of English or other European languages like French!

A bottle of water usually costs 1 euro or less! Here, I carry around my reusable water bottle so I can fill it up with tap water.
The best meal that I had this week was a light lunch of cauliflower soup with a slice of bread and carrot juice at my favorite cafe. I also had grilled bacalhau (codfish) with a sweet potato puree. We ate outside on the patio, and it was delicious!
This week, we went to a live music show and heard a local soul and funk band called HMB. They had a singer, bass player, drummer, guitarist and several backup singers. I enjoyed their music, even though I could not understand all of the lyrics.
