The flax fishnet is a tool that Maori used to make when collecting paua shells. One aspect of New Zealand culture I want to take back home with me is the cafe culture! Drinking hot drinks served as a morning and afternoon tea time to take a break and relax is the best invention ever! I often get caught in a busy lifestyle where I don't take time to pause in this way, so bringing this aspect back will remind me to stop and cherish the small moments of each and every day.

I am planning on kayaking, caving and hiking all the way to the northernmost point in New Zealand - Cape Reinga and 90-mile beach. I recently learned that the phrase Kia Ora not only is used as a greeting for "hello", but it is also used as a thank you and goodbye. So Kia Ora to you all. Where will you go when you travel?
