The weather was snowy, rainy, cold and even sunny, at the end of the week at least. We stood outside in the cold for an hour waiting to get into the Pinkas Synagogue and Holocaust Memorial in Prague while snow cascaded furiously around us. When we got back to Bucharest it seemed mild and sunny by comparison, even though it was still only 34 degrees.
We see a lot of pigeons in our city, Bucharest. Huge flocks of birds from outside of the city fly into the parks at dusk. On our trip to Warsaw, Poland last week we visited the zoo. During World War II, the owners were able to hide many Jewish people during the Nazi Occupation. While we were at the zoo, we saw, seals, polar bears and two beautiful maned wolves.
