Getting Around Madrid!

The large network of the system allows me to get to anywhere within Madrid with ease.

Driving is always an option as well. Some people opt to drive around the city in their own vehicles rather than to use the public transit system. As with other large cities, there are options for taxis and applications such as Uber and Cabify too.

Overall, getting around Madrid is quite simple! There is a lot of flexibility in how you can get around and it's up to you as to which methods you want to utilize.

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

Coming from a southern city, I am not used to having easy and accessible public transportation. Instead, I am used to driving everywhere. However, I feel that this method is very convenient and time efficient. I can get to anywhere that I need within the city without having to think about parking, parking fees, traffic, and much more. Having the various options of transportation allows me to get to places with ease and comfort!

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Madrid's transportation allows me to have easy access to much more culture and environment. When I am in Atlanta, I have to drive at least twenty minutes to get to different cultural communities. In Madrid, I have access to different cultures within a few metro stops. For example, in one metro stop, I can get to Lavapiés which is an ethnically diverse community with a mix of cultures and of course, amazing food.

Through the transportation system, I can also get to multiple parks with ease.
