Nuria's Student Life

Introduction:

As a part of Universidad Francisco de Vitoria's buddy program, I was able to meet Nuria! She is in her second year of university as a Design and Publicity student. Originating from Alicante, a city east of Madrid, she moved to Madrid to attend university.

What is your full name?:

My name is Nuria Martínez Juan.

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

Currently, I live in Colegio Mayor. It is a place where university students live. My room is small. There is one desk to study, one bed, and a bathroom. Thank God I don’t have to share my room! Also, there is a common space, cafeteria, TV room and meeting room. Food is provided in the dorm and is included in the rent. You can cook as well, but the kitchen is shared with so many people it is not worth the hassle. I personally do not cook.

What is your family like?:

I have a brother who is a year younger than me. He also goes to university in Madrid but not the same school. It is nice having him here. My parents live in Alicante. I just visited them last weekend!

How do you get around?:

I use the public transportation daily. I personally really like to walk so if I have the time, I always walk.
